01
Operator
Raktera is currently developed and operated as a software project by an individual in Lithuania.
The operator's final legal identity and any additional legally required business information will be inserted before commercial sales are enabled.
02
Scope of this policy
This Refund Policy applies to paid purchases of Raktera products made through the official Raktera commercial checkout.
Raktera Classic is provided as a free edition and therefore does not involve a purchase price to refund.
The current commercial plan for Raktera Pro is a one-time purchase rather than a recurring subscription.
03
Merchant of Record
When paid checkout is enabled, Raktera intends to use Paddle as the Merchant of Record for Raktera Pro transactions.
This means Paddle is expected to act as the seller for the payment transaction and handle payment processing, applicable transaction taxes, and refund processing under the checkout terms that apply to the purchase.
The final version of this policy must be reviewed against the actual Paddle production checkout, Buyer Terms, and refund process before sales are enabled.
04
Statutory withdrawal rights
Consumers may have a statutory right to withdraw from certain online purchases within a specified period under applicable consumer-protection law.
For consumers in the European Union and other jurisdictions with comparable rules, a 14-day withdrawal period may apply to certain digital-content transactions unless a lawful exception applies.
The availability, duration, and conditions of a withdrawal right depend on the purchaser's jurisdiction, the type of transaction, the delivery of the digital product, and applicable mandatory law.
Nothing in this Refund Policy removes or restricts a withdrawal, refund, conformity, or other consumer right that applicable law does not permit to be excluded.
05
Immediate delivery of digital content
Raktera Pro is a digital software product. Commercial checkout may provide access to downloadable software or license-related digital content shortly after the transaction is completed.
Where applicable law permits it, a statutory withdrawal right may cease after digital-content delivery begins if the purchaser has first provided the legally required express consent to begin delivery and acknowledged the resulting effect on the withdrawal right.
Any such consent must be implemented through the final checkout process in accordance with applicable law. This policy alone is not intended to constitute that consent.
06
Faulty, non-conforming, or incorrectly supplied products
Statutory rights concerning digital products that are faulty, materially not as described, incorrectly supplied, or otherwise non-conforming are separate from a discretionary refund policy.
If you experience a technical problem, contact Raktera support with the relevant edition, version, package type, error message, and steps needed to reproduce the problem.
Do not send your Master Password, keyfile, plaintext password exports, or other authentication secrets as part of a refund or support request.
07
How to request a refund
Purchases processed through Paddle should use the refund or transaction-support process made available by Paddle for the relevant order.
The purchase receipt or transaction information provided by the Merchant of Record may contain the appropriate buyer-support or refund-request route.
You may also contact Raktera at support@raktera.com for product-specific assistance with a purchase or technical issue.
Raktera support does not need your full payment-card number, security code, Master Password, or keyfile to investigate a normal purchase or product issue.
08
Refund eligibility
Refund eligibility may depend on mandatory consumer law, the Merchant of Record's applicable refund terms, the transaction history, the nature of the product issue, and the circumstances of the request.
A refund may also be considered where required by law or where the Merchant of Record determines that a discretionary refund is appropriate under its applicable policy.
Refund or withdrawal rights may be refused where permitted by law in cases involving fraud, refund abuse, manipulation, or other misuse of the payment or refund process.
09
Effect of a refund on a Raktera Pro license
A completed refund may end the purchaser's contractual entitlement to use the refunded Raktera Pro license, subject to applicable law and the terms governing the transaction.
Raktera Pro currently uses a locally verified signed .rkl license file and does not depend on recurring online activation or an online revocation service.
A refund does not necessarily cause an already downloaded license file to disappear from a user's device. Technical possession of that file is separate from the legal entitlement to continue using a refunded license.
Where a refund terminates the applicable license entitlement, the user should stop using the refunded Pro entitlement and remove the associated local Pro license file where required by the applicable license terms.
10
Refund processing
Refund timing, payment method, transaction verification, and related processing are handled according to the requirements of applicable law and the Merchant of Record's payment and refund procedures.
Where a refund is approved, funds are generally returned through the payment-processing system used for the original transaction, subject to the applicable provider's procedures.
Banking networks and payment providers may require additional time before a completed refund appears in the purchaser's account.
11
Mandatory consumer rights
Consumers may have statutory rights concerning withdrawal, digital-content conformity, remedies, refunds, and other aspects of consumer contracts.
This policy supplements those rights. It is not intended to waive, reduce, or replace any right that applicable law does not permit to be waived by contract.
Where the Merchant of Record's policy or Raktera's voluntary practice provides a higher level of protection than the minimum required by law, the more favorable applicable protection may be provided.
12
Changes to this policy
This Refund Policy may be updated when Raktera products, checkout arrangements, Merchant of Record terms, applicable law, or refund procedures change.
The revision date shown at the top of the page will be updated when a revised version is published.
