01
Data controller
Raktera is currently operated as a software project by an individual in Lithuania.
The final legal identity and any additional legally required contact information will be inserted before commercial sales are enabled.
02
Raktera desktop application
Raktera is designed around local vault storage. During normal vault operation, vault contents, the Master Password, and optional keyfile contents are processed locally on the user's device.
The Raktera desktop application does not require a mandatory Raktera account for vault use and does not use recurring online license verification for Raktera Pro.
Do not send your Master Password, keyfile, plaintext password exports, or other authentication secrets to Raktera support.
03

This may include information such as:
- IP address;
- browser and device information;
- requested pages and files;
- date and time of requests;

Such information may be used for website delivery, reliability, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and infrastructure security.

Raktera may receive transaction and customer information that is necessary to confirm a purchase, provide the purchased product or license, maintain transaction records, and provide customer support.
06

Depending on the interaction, personal data may be processed for the following purposes:
08
Data retention
Personal data is intended to be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including support, transaction administration, security, dispute handling, and applicable legal or accounting requirements.
Specific retention periods may depend on the type of record and the service provider involved. Final production retention practices will be reviewed before commercial launch.

Security
Raktera uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data processed through Raktera-related services.
No internet or email transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Sensitive vault credentials should therefore never be transmitted through ordinary support email.
Technical information about the application's vault cryptography and offline licensing model is available on the Raktera Security page.
